A grassroots conference on
skepticism,
science education
and critical thinking

May 26 2012 9:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Skepticamp is an opportunity to get together with members of the skeptic and scientific community.

Skepticamp has been held annually since 2009. In 2012 we're hoping to kick it into high gear with two well know speakers.

The content of Skepticamp is provided by the attendees

Skepticamp is based on the Barcamp model - user-generated open conferences where the content is provided by the participants. Where BarCamp is focused on technology, SkeptiCamp instead focuses on topics of interest to skeptics, including science, critical thinking and skeptical inquiry. For full details, including a listing of other camps being organized, visit the SkeptiCamp wiki.

How to attend Skepticamp

Join us for a Saturday day of talks and good discussion with other people interested in scientific skepticism. Take a look at the list of speakers, sign up to give a talk, volunteer to help with organizing or donate to help offset the cost.

Meet us at The Ohio State Universty Great Hall Meeting Room in the Ohio Union from 10 am - 6 pm. While registration is not required, registering  will help us plan and enable us to keep you updated about the event.

Learn about Skepticism

Are you a skeptic beginner? We’d really love to see and talk to you about it! You can read some general background on the movement and the history of SkeptiCamp. You can also learn more about the SkeptiCamp Ohio host group, Central Ohioans for Rational Inquiry, or ask us if you have any questions.
